Times to call for emergency service are when there is damaged property. Not only is the weight of the downed tree or branch unsafe until removed, but it may also cause water damage to your house, car, garage, etc. Other reasons to call for immediate assistance are if a branch large enough to do damage has become broken but not completely severed, or has become stuck on other branches, you'll want us to lower it before it can do damage safely.
